One of the best jobs at a Haunted House, outside of being an actor, is that of the make-up artist. They are responsible for taking your normal everyday person and transforming them into whatever dead or demonic character that is required. So we’ve had a request that we find more tutorials to help those starting out, to hone their craft. So we have provided this video tutorial on how to paint a realistic looking prosthetic wound for all your victim characters. He’s a film director, producer, screenwriter, and special effects artist with titles like Wishmaster, The Rage, Buried Alive, From Dusk Till Dawn, and a list of other movies a mile long. He’s been offering some fantastic products to the haunt industry for a bit now and one of the features that I enjoy, is their web series posted the “Creature Corps.” website.

Halloween Horror Nights Orlando Senior Designer and Makeup/Prosthetics Artist Michael Burnett hosted a makeup secrets session “Creating the Fear” during Monsterpalooza 3. During the session, Burnett provides a look back at previous HHN haunts and discusses the process that the HHN creative team take when developing scareactor mask and designs for the attraction.

Who doesn’t like AMC’s “Walking Dead” series? Now with this video tutorial from Nimba Creations, they will show you how to apply, paint and dress their “Ripped Face” prosthetic to give you that Walking Dead look. Be sure to give it a watch inside.
