Matthew Flagler from the Canadian Haunted Attractions, Halloween, Horror & Paranormal Conference (CHAC) today announced a great new promotion to kick off their ramp up to CHAC 2012 being held in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada from April 13-15, 2012. The Masqueade Ball during the 2011 Midwest Haunters Convention was an extremely fun event. Being able to talk and laugh with haunters from all over the country is always a good time! Everyone that showed up had great costumes and the event itself had some great activities that included a small haunted house, events like the “Scariest Character” contest (which we have video of here), and music for everyone to dance the night away! Friday night at MidWest Haunters Convention began with local tour in Columbus called TERRORFEST which was a short shuttle ride from the convention. The tour was located in the Brewery District and residing in old warehousing buildings… Read the full review inside!

Just a quick note for all of you attending or wanting to attend the Friday Haunt Tour at Midwest Haunters Convention. If you didn’t register for the preconvention haunt bus tour before Tuesday May 24, I’m afraid your going to be out of luck if you wanted to go to on the tour. Also, tickets to the masquerade party and weekend classes are almost gone as well. So you should move quick if you haven’t already gotten your tickets to those. More details inside.

Weekend entertainment includes a Monster Masquerade Party featuring the Ms. Midwest Scary Pageant (rated as one of the Top 10 Freakiest Attractions in the US by AOL Online), a Halloween Black-light Body Art Fashion Show, and the Bloody Mary Monster Makeup Wars Competition.

The Midwest Haunters Convention (MHC) will host a Haunted Attraction Industry/Halloween Trade Show on June 4-5, 2011 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. Admission is FREE and open to the public with advance registration. The MHC Trade Show hours are: Saturday June 4, 2011 from 9 am-5:30 pm; and Sunday June 5, 2011 from 10 am – 4 pm; featuring an indoor exposition of custom Hearses!

Get those bags ready for traveling! Midwest Haunters Convention is only a few weeks away and everyone is getting excited! In some last minute preparations and updates, the organizers at MHC have sent over some updates for everyone coming to Columbus so they know what events they have planned.
